This model name was later replaced because Diamond Back felt the name was impacting on sales with the story going that the later Super Streak was the Silver Streak replacement the Pacer was meant to be.
You can find this model stamped either CRMO or 500 on the rear dropouts, CRMO were the earlier stamped framesets but some were produced in 1984 before the branded 500 replacements.
Re: What bars ?
See here for a list of some Bars produced but I've seen in excess of 27 (I've a set on my Senior). Also, it could be that the ends are the originals, just worn which could give the appearence of size...
