This Black Frame and Fork was the first Diamond Back frameset to be manufactured in 1977 and offered to the general public, with only a limited amount produced upto 1978 it was replaced by the MX 2nd generation in 1978. Supplied as a frame and fork only and in keeping with the early type frames it came with a Euro Bottom Bracket. The forks were a speedo copy and later redesigned to fit the DB theme which introduced the diamond cutout on the fork dropouts.
This one has the original epoxy resin Black finish and all white Decals.
A simple way to identify the frame was noting the square tubed rear brake bridge and the slotted rear bottom braket brace.
